I’m a Professor at School of Computer Science & Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. I was a postdoc at UC Berkeley advised by Prof. Dawn Song. I obtained the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from National University of Singapore in 2022, advised by Prof. Bingsheng He. I obtained my bachelor’s degree from ACM Class, Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2018. I received Google PhD Fellowship 2021 and multiple best paper awards/nomination, including TPDS Best Paper Award, VLDB Best Research Paper Nomination, SIGMOD Honorable Mention for Best Artifact, and PREMIA Best Student Paper Gold Award.I ’m on Stanford University’s list of the World’s Top 2% Scientists.

My current research interests lie in distributed learning, agentic systems, and recursive self-improvement.

I’m looking for prospective PhD students starting in Sep 2027 who are interested in doing impactful research to join my group.
